I just got home from my psychology class and I am getting ready for my exams this week, that start tomorrow. This past week has been a little hectic, but I did get to bed at a good time this weekend: around 10 each night since my job shut down on Friday and Saturday, which was such a blessing. If they did not close, then I would of worked around 40 hours last week and slept a lot les than I did.

Getting up this early has been getting much easier than it previously was, but I do admit, it has still been hard to wake up when it is dark and cold outside. Today was one of my rougher days, because I was on the phone last night with my boyfriend for a while and went to bed later then I wanted: probably close to 12:30, so I did not get that much sleep. I did however get to work on some chemistry exam stuff and read up on some zero waste lifestyle habits. I learned a lot about zero waste items and how to live a sustainable lifestyle; especially in the bathroom/shower area (so lots of shampoo/conditioner bars, toothpaste tablets and more). If you guys are interested in that, I will make a blog about that soon!

If anyone is doing this with me right now, I do hope that it is going better, or at least better than me haha, but if you are planning on trying this and have not endured all of this yet, I do have some tips:

1. Don’t be so hard on yourself

I started off this challenge with very high expectations and I have been slightly deterred that I have not been able to accomplish all my goals with it: such as being as productive as I want or going to bed early and not ruin my sleep schedule. Whenever you do this or something of this source, you get to choose how strict it is, but if it is seriously hurting you or you just need a break, you know yourself better than anyone else, so please do not be too hard on yourself. There is a difference between a challenge and a punishment.

2. Maybe don’t make it 4:30…

I am all for ambition and getting up and doing stuff, but I do wish I made it a little later sometimes, because I have to go to bed so early to actually get sleep. So that is some food for thought.

3. And maybe not in the wintertime…

This could be personal preference indeed, but it is harder for me to get up in the wintertime, than the summer time, because it is dark and cold and my bed is warm and cozy. I also feel less inclined, because I do end up doing schoolwork in the morning, instead of blogging, but that could be just my opinion. So just find what will work for you.

That is the update and some tips for today, if you enjoyed it, I would appreciate the support.
